Academic representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro participated in this capacity-building initiative, focused on advancing education and research in key sustainability and risk-related domains.<\/p>\n\n  <p>Throughout the training, participants engaged in thematic sessions, interactive simulations, and interdisciplinary discussions addressing:<\/p>\n\n  <ul>\n    <li><strong>Green Finance<\/strong><br>\n    In-depth analysis of sustainable finance mechanisms and the political, social, and economic challenges surrounding green investment practices.<\/li>\n\n    <li><strong>Risk Perception &#038; Communication<\/strong><br>\n    Critical reflections on how risks are perceived by various stakeholders, the role of effective communication strategies, and governance models that enhance societal resilience.<\/li>\n\n    <li><strong>Preparedness Simulations<\/strong><br>\n    Hands-on scenario planning and risk assessment exercises aimed at strengthening institutional and community-level preparedness.<\/li>\n\n    <li><strong>Degrowth Economics<\/strong><br>\n    Thought-provoking discussions on alternative economic models, including the conceptual foundations and practical implications of degrowth strategies.<\/li>\n  <\/ul>\n\n  <p>Sessions were hosted across several of Lund University\u2019s interdisciplinary hubs, including the <strong>Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS)<\/strong> and the <strong>Division of Risk Management and Societal Safety<\/strong>, exemplifying a collaborative, cross-sectoral approach to addressing complex global and regional challenges.<\/p>\n\n  <p>This training is another milestone in the 1FUTURE Project\u2019s commitment to building academic excellence in the Western Balkans.
