As part of the 1FUTURE project’s WP4 activities on curriculum revision, the University College “CEPS-Center for Business Studies” in Kiseljak, Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a teaching visit by Assistant Professor Dr. Suzana Draganić from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Her lectures focused on integrating sustainable building design and fire safety principles into engineering curricula, ensuring students gain knowledge on energy-efficient and safe construction practices.
On Day 1 (November 6, 2024), Professor Draganić introduced energy-efficient building strategies, emphasizing the role of innovative materials, insulation techniques, and renewable energy sources in minimizing environmental impact.
On Day 2 (November 7, 2024), she addressed fire safety considerations in energy-efficient buildings, highlighting how new construction materials and methods must balance sustainability with safety regulations. Through an interactive, case study-driven approach, students analyzed applications of fire-resistant materials and modern safety standards.
This teaching visit played a crucial role in WP4’s goal of enhancing academic programs by integrating sustainability and safety components into engineering education.
