As part of the 1FUTURE project under WP4, two impactful teaching sessions on climate action were hosted at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Polytechnic University of Tirana. From November 4–5, 2024, students from the Environmental Engineering Department had the privilege to learn from esteemed professors at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, Germany. Prof. Wolfgang Strasdas and Prof. Dagmar Lund-Durlacher delivered insightful presentations on critical topics like Climate Adaptation in Tourism and Crisis Management and Resilience Building in Tourism. These sessions aimed to equip Bachelor’s and master’s students with essential knowledge to address the unique climate challenges facing Albania’s tourism sector. Students engaged in group work, exploring Albania’s unique challenges in sustainable tourism and brainstorming practical, climate-friendly solutions aligned with the SDGs.
