Tirana, April 7, 2025 — The Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana welcomed Prof. Dr. Meri Cvetkovska from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (UKIM) for a lecture titled “Circular Economy in the Built Environment.” The session gathered university students and researchers for an engaging two-hour.
Prof. Cvetkovska explored the principles of the circular economy and its critical application in the construction and urban development sectors. Her lecture focused on sustainable resource use, minimizing environmental impact, and rethinking traditional linear economic models in favor of closed-loop systems.
This open lecture is part of an EU-funded initiative promoting academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration between the University of Tirana and UKIM.
“Circular economy thinking is essential for future urban resilience and sustainability. It was a pleasure to share insights and engage with such motivated students,” said Prof. Cvetkovska.
