TUZLA – From October 6th to 10th, 2025, the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering (RGGF) at the University of Tuzla hosted a high-level coaching visit as part of the Erasmus+ 1FUTURE project. The five-day program was designed to strengthen the Knowledge Hub for Climate and Sustainability (KHCS) and foster deeper ties between academia, local government, and the private sector.
The visit commenced with an intensive coordination phase on Day 1, where the KHCS coordinator and project staff presented recent achievements and mapped out future challenges. This set the stage for a series of high-level institutional meetings.
On Day 2 and 3, the focus shifted to stakeholder engagement. The project team met with academic and administrative staff, business associations, and NGOs to explore collaborative research opportunities and future funding avenues. A significant highlight was the meeting with representatives from the City of Lukavac, an associate partner, alongside students and business leaders, to discuss local resilience and sustainable development.
The latter half of the week focused on the direct transfer of knowledge. A visiting professor delivered a series of specialized teaching sessions within the ongoing short intensive course.
The visiting prof. Cvetkovska met with the RGGF Faculty Management to ensure the project’s objectives remain aligned with the institution’s long-term academic goals.
The visit concluded on Friday, October 10th, with a comprehensive monitoring and wrap-up session. This final phase included:
Feedback Collection: Evaluating participant satisfaction and learning impact.
Operational Review: Analyzing the KHCS team’s logistics and networking efficiency.
Strategic Planning: Drafting recommendations and a monitoring report to ensure the sustainability of the project’s results.
This coaching visit marks another successful milestone for the 1FUTURE project at the University of Tuzla, reinforcing the Faculty’s role as a important institution in climate action and sustainable education.
