Strengthening the capacity for innovation at the Faculty of Civil Engineering through European projects
As part of the Festival: Science and Innovation Days 2023, the interested public had the opportunity to learn about two Erasmus CBHE projects that are ongoing at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The projects aim to strengthen the faculty’s capacity when it comes to construction in the era of climate change and accelerated urbanization. The necessity of innovating teaching and teaching methods, modernizing laboratories, and continuous cooperation with the non-academic sector was recognized as a priority in both projects.
The project “Curriculum innovation in climate-smart urban development based on green and energy efficiency in cooperation with the non-academic sector” (“Curriculum innovation in climate-smart urban development based on green and energy efficiency with the non-academic sector – SmartWB”) aims to the goal is to improve the quality of teaching in the field of climate-smart urbanization. On this occasion, one segment of the project was presented – innovative teaching methods – using digital teaching aids in the teaching process.
The project “jOiNEd For sUsTainability – building climate REsilient communities in WB and EU-1FUTURE” aims to improve regional capacities in the implementation of the Green Deal goals through the system higher education and the initiation of actions aimed at preserving the environment, climate change, sustainability and resilience.
