As part of the 1FUTURE project’s Work Package 4, Luarasi University, hosted two dynamic teaching sessions on climate action. Held on November 4–5, 2024, these sessions offered Environmental Engineering students an opportunity to gain valuable insights from distinguished professors from the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development in Germany. Professors Wolfgang Strasdas and Dagmar Lund-Durlacher led thought provoking discussions on key issues, including Climate Adaptation in Tourism and Crisis Management with a focus on building resilience in the tourism industry. The sessions were designed to prepare both undergraduate and postgraduate students with the tools to tackle the pressing climate-related challenges affecting Albania’s tourism sector. Through collaborative group activities, students analyzed the country’s unique barriers to sustainable tourism and developed actionable solutions that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
